To meet the needs of Drouin’s growing population, Gippsland Water is upgrading the existing Drouin WWTP with the construction of a new $55m membrane bioreactor plant. The main elements of the works include a large concrete bioreactor and membrane area, a sludge dewatering building, chemical dosing facility, odour treatment plant, screening removal and blowers.
Drew worked as a project engineer for Gippsland Water during the design and construction phases of the project.
His role included:

• On-site safety, quality, and structural inspections
• Tendering, contract superintendent, and contract management
